The invention relates to a hand dryer (1 figure 1) for drying a user's hands by means of airflow discharged through an air outlet (15 figure 1) on the hand dryer. The airflow is generated by a motor-driven fan unit 24 which is spring-mounted on a fixed part 41 of the hand dryer via a plurality of coil springs 45, 47. The springs may comprise two sets of springs spaced axially along the axis of rotation of the fan. The springs may be extension springs each preferably pivotally mounted at one end of the fan unit and at the other end to the fixed part of the hand dryer. |
