摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus for automatically controlling dimming of a high intensity discharge lamp according to each time zone and dimming rates. The apparatus includes an input power check unit which measures voltage and current quantities of AC power (AC220V) applied from the outside and identifies zero crossing; a power shutting unit which blocks power output from the input power check unit from being applied to a ballast; an output power check unit which measures the voltage and current quantities of power output from the ballast and identifies zero crossing; a main control unit which controls the power shutting unit by determining the power identified by the input power check unit and the output power check unit, and which outputs signals for controlling a dimming control unit and a status display unit; the dimming control unit which supplies power output from the ballast to a high intensity discharge lamp according to dimming rates set as control signals of the main control unit; the status display unit which visually displays an operational status of the high intensity discharge lamp and a failure of the ballast according to the control signals of the main control unit; and a DC power unit which supplies power required for operating the components by converting the AC power applied from the outside into DC power. The apparatus of the present invention can reduce power by controlling dimming of a high intensity discharge lamp according to each time zone and dimming rates, can set each time zone and the dimming rates online or offline, and can remotely monitor an operational status of the high intensity discharge lamp.
