The present invention relates to a mobile terminal capable of touch input and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a mobile terminal includes: a display unit which outputs screen information corresponding to at least a portion of a page with a preset length; a sensing unit which detects a touch on the display unit; and a control unit which changes at least a portion of the screen information outputted by the display unit into screen information corresponding to at least another portion included in the page when the touch corresponds to a preset manner of changing at least a portion of the screen information outputted by the display unit into different screen information, wherein the control unit outputs at least a portion of screen information corresponding to preset conditions to an area beyond the edge of the page, in response to the touch, when screen information which has been displayed on the display unit corresponds to an edge region of the page before the touch is detected.
