PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for separating hydrogen using a hydrogen separation membrane large in a hydrogen permeation rate, and excellent in hydrogen embrittlement resistance as well.SOLUTION: The method and device for separating hydrogen uses the hydrogen separation membrane formed of a V alloy containing W and Mo. The hydrogen separation membrane contains preferably ≤30 mol% of W, ≤30 mol% of Mo and a residual part of V. The hydrogen separation membrane contains particularly preferably 0.1-30 mol% of W, 0.1-30 mol% of Mo and the residual part of V. The hydrogen separation membrane contains further preferably 0.1-15 mol% of W, 0.1-15 mol% of Mo and the residual part of V. According to the method and device, hydrogen can be efficiently separated from various kinds of hydrogen-containing gases. Hydrogen can be efficiently separated from gas. |
