A digital photographing device, a control method thereof, a recording medium storing the program for executing the control method are provided, which enable to obtain the intended image. A digital photographing device comprises the photographing status analysis section(91), the lens suitability judgment part(93), the lens searcher(95), and the display unit(80). The lens suitability judgment part determines whether the mounted lens is suitable or not. The lens searcher searches the lens which is suitable for the photographing status. If the lens suitability judgment part determines that the mounted lens is unsuitable, the lens which is suitable for the photographing status is recommended through the display unit. |
