A hollow fiber membrane, excellent in safety, which is characterized in that, although its water permeability at 37° C. is as low as 1 to 20 mL/(m2·hr·mmHg), it has such a high dialysis performance that the clearance of β2 microglobulin in a blood purification module having 1.5 m2 membrane area based on the inner diameter of the hollow fiber membrane is not less than 10 mL/min, it has such a stability that the pressure resistance from outside of the hollow fiber membrane is not less than 0.1 MPa and it substantially causes no backfiltration,
wherein the membrane thickness of the hollow fiber membrane is 10 to 30 μm, and the membrane structure of the hollow fiber membrane is in a substantially uniform structure. |
