PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antioxidant which contains an ingredient having antioxidant effect derived from a plant, and inhibits intracellular oxidative stress, and to provide a skin external preparation or a cosmetic containing the ingredient from a plant which is used for anti-aging, hairdressing, hair-growing, or hair tonic.SOLUTION: An antioxidant is extracted from a leaf and/or a trunk of Acer ginnala by using a hydrophilic organic solvent such as water, methanol, ethanol and hydrous ethanol. The antioxidant enhances in-vivo antioxidant effect and intracellular oxidative stress inhibiting effect. The antioxidant which is an extract from Acer ginnala is used as a skin external preparation or a cosmetic. |
