PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphate phosphor exhibiting high emission intensity and high heat stability without using rare earth elements.SOLUTION: A phosphate phosphor contains a composition formula: Ba(TiZr)PO, where x is the concentration of Zr and 0<x≤0.15. Further it is preferable that x is 0<x≤0.06. Also it is preferable to have a crystal structure in which a part of TiOis substituted by ZrO. A manufacturing method includes a mixing process for weighting and mixing a raw material containing Ba (e.g. BaCO), a raw material containing P (e.g. NHHPO), a raw material containing Ti (e.g. TiO) and a raw material containing Zr (e.g. ZrO), a pulverization process for pulverizing the mixture, and a calcination process for calcinating the mixture under the air atmosphere at 1000°C to 1150°C. |
