PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improving technology related to a rational layout of each structure element of a hammer.SOLUTION: A hammer drill 100 for driving a hammer bit 119 detachably attached to a tip end area of a body portion 101 is provided. The hammer drill 100 has a driving motor 110 for driving the hammer bit 119, and a motion conversion mechanism 120 for converting the rotational motion of the driving motor 110 into a linear motion in a longitudinal direction of the hammer bit 119. The driving motor 110 disposes a motor shaft 111 on a tip end area side rather than a rotor 124 which is a fulcrum of a rocking member 125 so as to extend in an intersecting direction intersecting the longitudinal direction of the hammer bit 119. |
