<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power controller capable of switching a connection state of plural batteries to a serial connection and a parallel connection, and capable of performing regenerative control of an electric motor without applying overvoltage.SOLUTION: The power controller for an electric vehicle comprises: an electric motor 107 serving as a drive source of an electric vehicle; a capacitor 101 having plural batteries whose connection state can be switched to a serial connection and a parallel connection; and a serial-parallel switching part 120 for switching a connection state of the plural batteries to the serial connection and the parallel connection. The power controller comprises an overvoltage prevention part that prevents generation of overvoltage when the electric motor is subjected to regenerative control and when it is estimated that a drive system of the electric vehicle receives overvoltage.</p> |
