PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which can dissolve the lowering of luminance generated at a boundary portion between light guide plates by a simple constitution while diffusing light by using a plurality of the light guide plates, and a washstand having the lighting device.SOLUTION: A lighting device 40 has a plurality of light guide plates 45 which are arranged so as to align without intervals. In the vicinity of an end part adjacent to another light emitting face 45c, inclined parts 45d are formed at light emitting faces 45c being faces from which light is emitted out of the light guide plates 45. Normal directions (N3) of the inclined parts 45e are directions which progress to a region (opposing face block part 46b) covering a boundary (opposing face 45d) between the adjacent light guide plates 45 out of an illumination cover 46.
