PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy wire having high strength, such aluminum alloy stranded wire, an insulation wire and a wire harness.SOLUTION: There is provided an aluminum alloy wire containing Cu of 2.0 mass% to 6.0 mass% and the balance Al with inevitable impurities and having a tension strength of 220 MPa or more and conductivity of 30%IACS or more. There is also provided an aluminum alloy stranded wire using the aluminum alloy wire, an insulation wire and a wire harness.
