PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid, when an amount of parameter calculation required for formation and output of images is increased, the situation in which processing of a processing unit is occupied by the parameter calculation.SOLUTION: There is provided a control method of an image forming apparatus including performing calculation of parameters to be set for image formation to image forming mechanisms that perform image formation, and setting the calculated parameters to the image forming mechanisms. In the parameter calculation, collective calculation processing of collectively calculating parameters of a plurality of colors to be set respectively to the plurality of image forming mechanisms provided for the respective colors, and individual color calculation processing of calculating the parameters individually for the respective colors can be used, and the collective calculation processing and the individual color calculation processing are switched according to an operation state of the image forming mechanisms. |
