PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freezer capable of attaining both minimization of a standby power of a heater and improvement in reliability of a compressor while considering concentration (consistency) of freezer oil due to condensation within a dome.SOLUTION: A freezer 1 comprises a compressor 21 having a structure for discharging refrigerant compressed by a compression element 21b into an inner space 36a of a casing 21a formed with an oil reservoir 36c storing freezer oil and thereafter feeding the refrigerant out of the casing 21a, a heater 28 and a control part 9. The control part 9 controls, during stopped state of the freezer 1, the heater 28 in such a way that a temperature of freezer oil stored in the oil reservoir 36c may reach the first desired oil temperature kept at an allowable condensation amount or less enabling a refrigerant condensation amount generated by in-dome condensation when the freezer 1 starts to its operation at a concentration or viscosity of the freezer oil required for lubrication of the freezer 21. |
