<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner-concentration self-control developing apparatus configured to enable color development, while facilitating toner to be supplied to a carrier and preventing scumming.SOLUTION: A developing apparatus 2 includes: a developing sleeve 4 for conveying two-component developer 3 including nonmagnetic toner 3a and magnetic carrier; a doctor 6 for regulating the amount of developer to be conveyed to the sleeve; a developer housing unit S for housing the developer blocked by the doctor; and a pre-doctor 7a arranged on the upstream of the sleeve in a developer conveyance direction in the developer housing unit to regulate the amount of developer on the sleeve. As toner concentration of the developer on the sleeve increases, accumulated developer 3e on the upstream of the pre-doctor increases, thereby stopping the nonmagnetic toner to be supplied to the developer. The developing apparatus 2 includes toner supply means 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 for causing the nonmagnetic toner to fly toward a toner supply port 8a opposite a sleeve surface, and supplying the nonmagnetic toner to the developer carried on the sleeve.</p> |
