PURPOSE: A mobile terminal capable of controlling operation with a proximity sensor and a control method thereof are provided to enable a user to conveniently control operation of the mobile terminal by controlling the operation related to a video call according to a proximity signal, which is detected from the proximity sensor. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(110) connects a call for a video call with an opponent terminal. A display unit(151) displays a user and opponent user image transceived through the video call. A proximity sensor(141) outputs a proximity signal corresponding to proximity degree and position of a detected object. If the user image or the opponent user image is displayed in the proximity position, a controller(180) enlarges the corresponding image. |
