A ceiling type air conditioner is provided to reinforce the strength of a front panel by reinforcement ribs and improve the performance of the air conditioner by disposing the ribs at proper positions for keeping the flow rate reduction rate of suction air at a proper level. A ceiling type air conditioner includes a case, a base panel, a front panel(400) and reinforcement ribs(500) disposed on a top surface of the front panel for reinforcing the strength of the front panel in the longitudinal direction. A relative rate between a distance(D) from an end of the front panel to the rib and a distance(E) from the base panel to the end of the front panel is 0.5-0.8 at the maximum opening state of the front panel. |
