A wavelength selective switch includes: a port array that includes an input port for inputting a signal light and an output port for outputting the signal light which are arranged in a first direction; a dispersive element that disperses the signal light in a second direction; a condensing element that condenses signal lights; a light deflection element that deflects the signal lights toward the output port; a first optical system that matches a beam waist position of the signal light incident onto the condensing element with a front focus of the condensing element in the optical axis direction, in a first plane that extends in the first direction; and a second optical system that shifts the beam waist position of the signal light incident onto the condensing element from the front focus in the optical axis direction, in a second plane that extends in the second direction. |

1. A wavelength selective switch comprising:
a port array that includes an input port for inputting a signal light and an output port for outputting the signal light which are arranged in a first direction; a dispersive element that disperses the signal light in a second direction different from the first direction; a condensing element that condenses signal lights dispersed by the dispersive element, respectively; a light deflection element that deflects each of the signal lights condensed by the condensing element toward the output port; a first optical system that matches a beam waist position of the signal light incident onto the condensing element with a front focus of the condensing element in an optical axis direction of the signal light, in a first plane that extends in the first direction and the optical axis direction; and a second optical system that shifts the beam waist position of the signal light incident onto the condensing element from the front focus in the optical axis direction, in a second plane that extends in the second direction and the optical axis direction. |
