PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which performs long second photographing in multiple exposure photographing without failing as much as possible by adjusting the number of composite image data to be stored according to motion of a subject by using a motion vector in the long second photographing, and by increasing composite images to be held even when the motion of the subject is slow.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: imaging means for imaging a subject; setting means; composition means for dividing exposure time into a plurality of sub-exposure time, sequentially composing image data obtained from the imaging means for each of the plurality of divided sub-exposure time, and generating composite image data formed by composing a predetermined number of image data; motion vector calculation means for calculating a motion vector of the subject by comparing previous image data and next image data of the image data obtained from the imaging means for each of the plurality of divided sub-exposure time; and stored frame number change means for changing the number of composite image data to be stored by determining whether the motion vector calculated by the motion vector calculation means is higher or lower than a predetermined threshold. |
