PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device configured so as to form an image using ink on a sheet and also configured so as to calculate a drying time of ink on the surface of a sheet, which is capable of appropriately calculating the drying time of the surface of the sheet so that contamination by ink or unnecessary time taken for printing are not caused when an image is formed on the surface of the sheet for the second time or when an image is formed on the reverse surface of the sheet.SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 is composed of a drying time estimation part that calculates a drying time of ink on the surface of a sheet using a correction coefficient set at least in correspondence with a structure unique to the device, and estimates the timing when image forming is possible on the sheet 3 for the second time, and an input display part for notifying of the estimation information estimated by the drying time estimation part. The correction coefficient is set separately for a case where an image is formed on the surface of the sheet for the second time and for a case where an image is formed on the reverse surface of the sheet. |
