PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the image of a user at another base where there is a speaker to be visually recognized without imposing a visual burden on a user at each base.SOLUTION: A conference system is provided with 10 teleconference devices individually installed at 10 bases, each teleconference device comprising: image data acquisition means for acquiring image data at a corresponding base; voice data acquisition means for acquiring voice data; a sound volume level determination unit for determining whether the sound volume level of voice data is greater than or equal to a prescribed threshold; an image processing unit for applying coloring to image data when determination by the sound volume level determination unit was positive; a network interface for transmitting one of image data having had coloring applied thereto and image data not having had coloring applied thereto to other teleconference devices via the Internet; and display means for displaying image data corresponding to the image data individually transmitted from the network interfaces of other teleconference devices in the same size at different positions on a display screen. |
