PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slag treatment hopper configured to considerably extend a repair interval of a refractory more than conventional ones by improving the durability of a lower flange in which the refractory is apt to fall.SOLUTION: A lower flange 2 formed at a lower end of a hopper body 1 is such a water-cooled structure that cooling water piping 5 is buried inside a castable refractory 9. A stud metal fitting 8 is projectedly disposed on an outer surface of the cooling water piping 5 so as to increase a contact area with the castable refractory 9. The stud metal fitting 8 is preferably a Y-shaped stud. |
