<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that the number of pixels increases as definition of display devices becomes higher, the number of gate lines and the number of signal lines increase, and when the number of gate lines and the number of signal lines increase, it becomes difficult to mount IC chips comprising drive circuits for driving the gate lines and the signal lines by bonding, or the like, and thereby manufacturing costs increase.SOLUTION: A pixel section and a drive circuit for driving a pixel section are provided on the same substrate. At least a circuit of a part of the drive circuit is composed of a thin-film transistor using an oxide semiconductor vertically sandwiched by gate electrodes. The pixel section and the drive circuit are provided on the same substrate, thereby manufacturing costs is reduced.</p> |
