The processor is configured to determine the battery charging status of the mobile device and minimize communication with the mobile device if the battery charging status of the mobile device indicates that the battery of the mobile device is not being charged. The processor may be further configured to terminate communication with the mobile device if the battery charging status of the mobile device indicates that the battery of the mobile device is not being charged.
