PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase-separated scintillator crystal having a phase-separated structure free from optical wave-guiding defects, and a radiation detector using this crystal.SOLUTION: A phase-separated scintillator crystal has a plurality of first phases each having a directionality of linking two faces not in the same plane and a second phase positioned around the first phases; each of the plurality of first phases is a columnar scintillator crystal and has a plurality of grain boundary areas; and the grain boundary areas at least partly have periodicity. |
