PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device equipped with a light source having a plurality of light-emitting elements arranged therein and a display device provided with the same capable of realizing detection of the posture of the device itself at low cost.SOLUTION: The inside of the enclosure of lighting device is divided into two or more segments, and a temperature measurement unit is arranged one for each of at least two segments. The arrangement is made so that the high/low relation of each temperature measured by each temperature measurement unit will be differentiated by posture. Posture is detected on the basis of the position of measurement inside the enclosure at which measurement was taken by each temperature measurement unit and the result of comparison of each temperature measured by each temperature measurement unit. |
