PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle monitoring apparatus capable precisely detecting surrounding area of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle monitoring apparatus 200 acquires images taken by plural cameras 104-107 which are mounted on a vehicle 100 for taking images of surrounding area of the vehicle 100 and transmits the images to a predetermined portable terminal 300. A controller 204 detects a predetermined object from the images taken by cameras 106 and 107 installed on side mirrors 108 and 109 of the vehicle among the plural cameras and controls the rotation angle of the side mirrors 108 and 109 so that the detected predetermined object is captured within an imaging range of the cameras 106 and 107 installed on the side mirrors 108 and 109. |
