A remote monitoring system of ship equipment according to the present invention comprises an LSP interface unit to provide a standard structure interface for digital communications within a ship; an equipment management unit to extract an identifier corresponding to the ship equipment from an equipment mapping table by receiving event information for the ship equipment from an LSP interface and to manage the equipment mapping table in which the identifier is allocated by the ship equipment; a message conversion unit to extract a message corresponding to the event information in a message table by managing the message table in which the message in each event is allocated; and a storage unit to store the extracted identifier and the extracted message in a database. According to the present invention, the remote monitoring system can syntagmatically manage heterogeneous equipment within the ship, and reduce data costs by remarkably reducing satellite communications data amounts by transmitting the data to the ground through the satellite communications by compressing status information of the ship into the message.
