PURPOSE: A device for testing the performance degradation of gas absorbent and a method therefor are provided to test the degradation degree of absorbent that is used for absorbing and separating carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide which are included in synthetic gas generated when a fossil fuel is gasified, thereby checking the performance degradation of the absorbent. CONSTITUTION: A device for testing the performance degradation of gas absorbent includes a first reactor (1), a pump (3), a second reactor (2), a condenser (9), and a heat-exchanger (4). The first reactor absorbs carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide which are included in synthetic gas supplied from the outside into absorbent. If the carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide are absorbed into the absorbent, the pump moves the absorbent through a conduit line. The second reactor heats the absorbent moved by the pump at the preset temperature, and thus separates carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide absorbed into the absorbent. The condenser is connected to the second reactor, discharges the separated carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide, and condenses the absorbent in which carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide are separated. The heat-exchanger cools the condensed absorbent at the temperature for absorption reaction, and moves the cooled absorbent to the first reactor. |
