PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably form dots regardless of size of dots formed when the sizes of dots formed are controlled by the number of liquid droplets ejected from nozzles. SOLUTION: The ink jet head includes: a waveform generating means which generates a reference driving waveform that includes a plurality of ejection waveform elements for ejecting liquid droplets from nozzles and that forms dots on an object by uniting a plurality of liquid droplets ejected by a plurality of ejection waveform elements in the reference driving waveform during flying; a data acquiring means which acquires size data of dots formed; a waveform selecting means which selects ejection waveform elements sequentially from the last among the plurality of ejection waveform elements in the reference driving waveform according to the size data; and a driving means which causes the selected ejection waveform element to eject liquid droplets from the nozzles.
