Embodiments of the present invention provide a network name processing method and a mobility management network element. The network name processing method includes: receiving a network name sent by a mobile switching centre/visitor location register MSC/VLR; processing the received network name, and according to a processing result, sending a mobility management information message to a terminal to enable the terminal to display the network name of the registered network of the terminal. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the terminal always display the network name of the registered network of the terminal, thereby ensuring consistency in the network name display of the terminal, and improving user experience. |
