An apparatus and a method for publicizing a book or pamphlet by using an augmented reality are provided. The apparatus for publicizing a book or pamphlet by using an augmented reality comprises: a storage unit for storing a promotional image associated with a relevant book or pamphlet and augmented reality marker information formed on the book or pamphlet; a camera unit for collecting an augmented reality marker; a key input unit for searching, in text, other promotional images associated with the book or pamphlet stored in the storage unit; an audio processing unit for searching, in voice, other promotional images associated with the book or pamphlet stored in the storage unit; a control unit for performing control such that the promotional image, which is stored in the storage unit and matched with the augmented reality maker collected through the camera unit, the data searched through the key input unit, or the data searched through the audio processing unit, and real book or pamphlet image data seen through the camera unit are transmitted to a mixing unit; and the mixing unit for mixing all data collected by the control unit and reproducing the promotional image associated with the book or pamphlet on the real book or pamphlet image data; and an image processing unit for reproducing an augmented reality image mixed by the mixing unit. |
