The present invention relates to a cosmetic material for skin elasticity maintenance and regeneration and a skin external application composition for wound healing, which comprise essential oil isolated from Chrysanthemum boreale Makino through a steam distillation method. More particularly, the present invention relates to the skin external application composition for skin elasticity maintenance, regeneration, and wound healing which can provide skin elasticity maintenance, regeneration, and wound healing by inducing the proliferation and migration of skin epidermal keratinocytes and the synthesis and secretion of type IV collagen, as well as induce skin regeneration without side effects such as hypertrophic scar, and keloid which can occur during a wound healing process by inhibiting proliferation of dermal fibroblasts.
