Because a forward antenna (33) performs road-to-vehicle communication and vehicle-to-vehicle communication with an oncoming vehicle, the forward antenna can perform the communications using a non-directional antenna in a preferable manner in terms of communication distance. Vehicle-to-vehicle communication with a rearward vehicle by means of a rearward antenna (37) requires longer communication distance compared with the road-to-vehicle communication or the vehicle-to-vehicle communication with the oncoming car. Thus, the rearward antenna (37) comprises a directional antenna enabling an increase in communication distance compared with the non-directional antenna. Because the rearward antenna (37) has directionality toward the rear of the vehicle body, communication with the rearward vehicle can also be performed in a preferable manner. The forward antenna (33) is located forward of a seat (7), while the rearward antenna (37) is located rearward of the seat (7). Thus, attenuation of electromagnetic waves by a rider, for example, can be restricted. Accordingly, the vehicle-to-vehicle communication with the rearward vehicle can be performed in a preferable manner while the road-to-vehicle communication can also be performed in a preferable manner. |
