<p>Provided is an LED for plant illumination, comprising a substrate (11), and a PN-junction-type light emitting part provided on the substrate (11); the light emitting part is provided with a strained light emitting layer having a compositional formula of GaXIn(1-X)AsYP(1-Y), wherein X and Y are numerical values respectively satisfying 0<X<1 and 0<Y<1; and the light emitting part is also provided with a barrier layer forming 2-40 pairs of alternating laminated structures with the strained light emitting layer. The structure employs the novel light emitting material GaXIn(1-X)AsYP(1-Y), thus improving luminous efficiency by 50-100%.</p> |
