METAL SORTING APPARATUS AND ODD-SHAPED METAL SORTING METHOD USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus that can efficiently separate odd-shaped sponge titanium mixed in a sponge titanium granule, and a separation method of the odd-shaped sponge titanium contained in the sponge titanium using the apparatus.SOLUTION: A metal sorting apparatus is provided for separating an odd-shaped metal from a granular metal. The sorting apparatus includes a metal delivery part and an opening part provided on the way of the delivery part. In the metal sorting apparatus, a cross-sectional of the delivery part perpendicular to the metal delivery direction has a wavy shape or a W-like shape, and an opening part is formed in the direction perpendicular to the extending direction of a valley part in the wavy shape or the W-like shape, or in the valley part and in the direction along the extending direction of the valley part. Also, a method is provided for sorting the odd-shaped metal from the granular metal using the metal sorting apparatus.
