REACTION FORCE PEDAL DEVICE

A reaction force pedal device provided with pedal members operated by a driver, a motor which applies a reaction force to the pedal members through an arm member which is always connected to the pedal members, and a clutch arranged between the motor and the arm member. When the pedal members are displaced, the clutch is temporarily released.

1. A reaction force pedal device comprising:
a pedal member operable by a driver; a motor having a rotatable output shaft for applying a reaction force to the pedal member through an arm member, which is coupled at all times to the pedal member; and a clutch disposed between the motor output shaft and the arm member, wherein while the pedal member is being returned toward a non-actuated position thereof, the clutch is disengaged so that an amount at which the pedal member is depressed and a rotational angle of the motor output shaft deviate from each other.
