PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forward converter of active clamp system in which efficiency is enhanced by lowering the magnetic flux density of a main transformer and reducing the switching frequency, thereby reducing the switching loss, and to provide a driving method thereof.SOLUTION: On the primary of a main transformer, the primary winding of the main transformer arranged between a pair of main switching elements, an active clamp circuit arranged on the secondary of the main transformer, and a feedback circuit for lowering the switching frequency of the pair of main switching elements when a load current is large, are provided, and a forward converter of active clamp system turns the pair of main switching elements and the switching element of the active clamp circuit alternately. |
