Embodiments of the present invention disclose an Ethernet ring protection switching method, node, and system, which relate to the field of communications technologies and are capable of switching a service transmission path according to a link bandwidth condition to maximize the service capacity of an Ethernet ring network. The method of the present invention includes: determining, according to bandwidth information of a current link and bandwidth information of another link on a ring, whether the current link is a lower-bandwidth link; if the current link is a lower-bandwidth link, blocking a port corresponding to the current link; and if the current link is not a lower-bandwidth link, enabling the port corresponding to the current link. The embodiments of the present invention are mainly used in an Ethernet ring protection switching process.
