Use of xylitol for the improvement of the rate of the body weight growth of weaning pigs

The present invention relates to the use of xylitol in the food of weaning pigs for increasing the rate of body weight growth in weaning pigs and adult pigs. Xylitol in a concentration of 0.1 to 4% based on the total weight of the food improves considerably the food intake of weaning pigs and the conversion of the food into body weight.
