<p>In an apparatus for controlling the temperature of objects, in particular for drying coated vehicle bodies, an object (12) can be transported in a transport direction through a temperature control tunnel (16) accommodated in a housing (14) by means of transport system (30). At least one temperature control device (35, 50; 35, 70) for controlling the temperature of the object (12) is provided. In addition, the apparatus comprises a local temperature control device (50; 70), by means of which the respective temperatures of locally limited areas of the object (12) can be selectively controlled and which comprises a plurality of temperature control units (52; 72) that can be activated and driven independently of one another for said purpose. The invention further relates to a method for controlling the temperature of objects, in particular for drying coated vehicle bodies, in which method objects (12) are transported through a temperature control tunnel (16) and the temperature of said bodies is controlled by means of a least one temperature control device (35, 50; 35; 72), wherein the respective temperatures locally limited areas of the object (12) can be selectively controlled by means of a local temperature control device (50; 70).</p> |
