PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable probes to be arranged at a narrow pitch without causing the pitch of slits in a slit bar to narrow. SOLUTION: A probe assembly comprising a plurality of probes each provided with a support piece, a belt-shaped fitting area, a front area extending forward from the tip of the fitting area and a needle tip protruding downward from the front area. In the plurality of probes, the fitting areas are parallelly arranged facing to lower side of the support pieces in a state of a widthwise direction of the fitting areas being vertical direction. The probe assembly further has a slit bar being positioned underneath the tip of the support piece and provided with a plurality of slits spaced in the left-to right direction and opened downward.
