<p>Embodiments of the invention provide methods, apparatuses and computer programs arranged to control access to resources of a communication network by a user equipment. One embodiment comprises a user equipment comprising an apparatus for use in controlling access to resources of a communication network, the communication network comprising a Packet-Switched (PS) network comprising aplurality of eNodeBs and a Circuit-Switched (CS) network comprising a plurality of base stations (BS), each said base station being associated with a location area (LA), the apparatus being capable of receiving a CS service via the CS network and being associated with a said location area whilst being served by a said eNod.cB, wherein, responsive to receiving a mobile terminated CS service notification, the user equipment is configured to change cell association to a said base station, the apparatus comprising a processing system arranged to cause the apparatus to: allocate processing resources for use in establishment of a mobile terminated CS service corresponding to the received notification; and responsive to receipt of a release message following receipt of a location area accept message, said release message being indicative of failure to provision said mobile terminated CS service, maintain said allocation of the processing resources and monitor for a service setup message from the CS network, whereby to enable establishment of said mobile terminated CS service.</p> |
