An electrically heated cigarette smoking system is disclosed, comprising a housing 120, a plurality of heating elements 130 arranged within the housing adapted to receive there-between a portion of a cigarette, a power source that supplies energy to the heating elements for heating the cigarette and a manifold arrangement 140 defining a chamber 132 surrounding a portion of a cigarette 15 at a filter section of the cigarette, the chamber being in fluid communication with an internal portion of the cigarette through openings 17 into the filter section of the cigarette. Also provided is a method of making an electrically heated cigarette smoking system. |
