PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erasing device for sheets capable of efficiently cooling a sheet after erasing color.SOLUTION: The erasing device for sheets includes: a read-out unit which reads out images formed on a sheet; an erasing unit which heats the sheet to erase the images formed on the sheet; a conveying path which includes guide plates arranged to face each other, passes the sheet through a space between the guide plates and conveys the sheet to the read-out unit from the erasing unit; a plurality of slits formed on the guide plates; and a fan which sends cooling air toward the read-out unit from the erasing unit for cooling the sheet passing through the conveying path. The plurality of slits includes: a first slit which is located at a position far from the fan and formed long toward the downstream in a conveying direction; and a second slit which is located at a position near to the fan, shorter than the first slit and wide in a direction perpendicular to the conveying direction. |
