PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicator material with a simple structure capable of clearly indicating that a food product is added with a quantity of heat required, as a cooked state indicator material used for a food packaging material for heat cooking.SOLUTION: A cooked state indicator material comprises a polymer composition comprising a polymer and a dye. The polymer composition is prepared by immobilizing the dye in a specific dispersed state in the form of molecules in the polymer, and the dye is an associating fluorescent dye of which the fluorescence wavelength in an excimer state is different from that in a monomer state. Each of the heat-cooked state indicator material for foods and the packaging material non-reversibly change the color phase thereof into a color phase that is different from the initial color phase when the material is maintained at a temperature equal to or higher than a specified temperature for a predetermined time period or longer.
