PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of preventing quality deterioration of an object to be frozen highly efficiently and safely by uniformly imparting an electric field to the object to be frozen.SOLUTION: A refrigerator includes: a pair of electrode plates 21 for generating an electric field in a freezer 5; and control means 23 for applying an AC voltage to the pair of electrode plates 21. The pair of electrode plates 21 at least has a protrusion 22b(22a) protruding from one electrode plate 21b(21a) toward the other opposing electrode plate 21a(21b). Thereby, the intensity of the electric field generating around the protrusion 22b can be increased, and by suitably arranging the protrusion 22b, the electric field near the center of the electrode plate 21 is strengthened, and the electric field generating in the freezer 5 can be made uniform. |
