摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for manufacturing a self-supporting optical fiber cable whose outer diameter size is less likely to change.SOLUTION: A die 1 for extruding a cable body part and a support wire part into a circular cross section includes: a taper part 2 into which a cable and a support wire are fed, and resin is made to flow; and a shape molding part 3 connected to the taper part 2, for extruding the cable and the support wire from the taper part 2, to form the cable body part and the support wire part, and intermittently extruding resin to be a neck part joining the cable body part and the support wire part together, to form the neck part having a slit part. In the shape molding part, an opening cross section area of a second region separated from the taper part is smaller than an opening cross section area of a first region near the taper part, and in the first region, there is formed a shutter passage hole 4a through which a shutter 4 for intermittently extruding the resin to be the neck part passes.
