PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict a third pressure-bonded plate from rotating about a shaft member, as a central axis, of a bolt or other means that gives a contact pressure in a friction damper.SOLUTION: A friction damper includes a first contact pressure plate 11 provided on one component, a second contact pressure plate 21 provided on the other component, a third contact pressure plate 31 that sandwiches the first contact pressure plate 11 between itself and the second contact pressure plate 21 by applying a prescribed contact pressure from both sides, and a shaft member inserted, to give the contact pressure, through a through-hole that is long in a prescribed direction in the first contact pressure plate 11, a through-hole in the second contact pressure plate, and a through-hole in the third contact pressure plate. While sliding of the second contact pressure plate 21 in a prescribed direction with respect to the first contact pressure plate 11 is allowed, a force for sliding is transmitted from the second contact pressure plate 21 to the third contact pressure plate 31 so that the third contact pressure plate 31 slides in a prescribed direction with respect to the first contact pressure plate 21 as the allowed sliding occurs. The friction damper includes a rotation restriction mechanism 61 that restricts the third contact pressure plate 31 from rotating about the shaft member as a central axis. |
