PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding throttle valve type carburetor which facilitates assembling of a top cover and suppresses increase of cost.SOLUTION: A sliding throttle valve type carburetor 1 includes: a carburetor main body 3 including an intake passage 2; a throttle valve guide cylinder 4 which is communicated with the intake passage 2 and is formed on the carburetor main body 3; a sliding throttle valve 5 disposed in the throttle valve guide cylinder 4; a top cover 11 of a lidded cylindrical shape which closes an upper opening part 10 of the throttle valve guide cylinder 4; a spring S which is disposed between the top cover 11 and the sliding throttle valve 5 and energizes the top cover 11 and the sliding throttle valve 5 in the direction of separating them from each other. The top cover 11 is formed of resin molded body, an O-ring 13 is interposed between the throttle valve guide cylinder 4 and a cylinder part 11b of the top cover 11, a first locking part 14 is disposed on an outer circumferential part of the throttle valve guide cylinder 4 and a second locking part 19 which detachably locks to the first locking part 14 is disposed on the inner circumferential part of the cylinder part 11b of the top cover 11. |
